John E. Henderson

I am a descendent of John E. Henderson, one of the men killed at the Mussel Slough Tragedy, and I noticed on your web site with MichaelDale Publishing, that you say that he had a wife and 1 son. That information is incorrect. He was survived by his wife and daughter.....who is my great grandmother.

In response to further inquiries, Mrs. Rodgers-Clark provided the following information and gave permission to post it on this web site:

The only information that I have on John E. Henderson is that he was born in Missouri. He was married to Laura Ellen Duncan- 10 Jun 1877- in Mountainview, Tulare County, CA. His first daughter, Desee E. Henderson, was born in 1878. Laura was pregnant with their second daughter, Ada Eldorado Henderson (my great-grandmother), when John was killed in the Mussell Slough Tragedy.
